Greetings again, friends,
This is a notice that the regular Tuesday meetings are changing drastically. No longer to be held every Tuesday, the idea has changed in a very positive and welcoming way. Without having an exact date yet we will hold the first event within the second week of June.
The name I've devised is: Town Hall Co-operative. Here's the idea:
Similarly to the Evolver/Zeitgeist Convergence that happens on the last Tuesday of every month (and is always an awesome time!) the plan is to gather speakers and presenters to share their ideas, plans, projects, intentions, and love, in an open forum manner; meaning, presenters are encouraged to be ready for and open to contributions from the audience. Having a dynamic exchange between everyone involved can often lead to the development of entirely novel concepts and feelings brought forth.
After the presenters and audience have shared their ideas and feedback, the group will transition into a collaborative jam, open to all who wish to participate in making music or simply enjoy it. Some friends of mine are eager to help, one an experienced electronic music producer, the other a skilled percussionist; so, a basic tempo will be provided by the rhythmic stylings of the former, and general co-ordination will be ushered by the latter. All instruments are welcome, with microphones provided for those quieter ones. Fortunately, the acoustics in the Distillery are pretty awesome anyways, and would facilitate an awesome Jam space.
